The National Technology Audit Programme helps Irish SME manufacturers to adopt appropriate technology, business organisation and manufacturing systems.
Why a Technology Audit ?
Significant results have been achieved with client companies leading to increased competitiveness in the form of: increased profitability, improved quality, reduced costs and improved methods and processes. To date over 800 companies have been assisted by the programme.
What is a Technology Audit?
A Technology Audit is a diagnostic analysis of a company's operations with the purpose of identifying opportunities to increase profitability. The audit is matched to the needs of individual manufacturers and focusses on appropriate technology and systems. A member of Enterprise Ireland?s specialist team conducts the work.
- Phase 1 - The initial audit and report, detailing opportunities on which future manufacturing processes and/or business can be built;
- Phase 2 - Implementation of the developmental strategy identified in the initial audit;
- Phase 3 - This arises where implementation requires specialist consultancy assignments needing additional external assistance to yield maximum benefit. Enterprise Ireland will assist the company to structure these assignments.
Financial Assistance
Typically, the cost of the initial audit is in the region of € 7,000, of which the company contributes approx € 1,270.
Who is eligible ?
The programme is primarily aimed at SMEs. Manufacturing companies with a definite product range employing less than 50 people and with an annual turnover of less than € 5.08 million may participate. However these criteria are flexible and certain large companies and service sector companies may also be eligible.
Confidentiality
Confidentiality is assured. Audit reports are given solely to company management. The contents of these reports and information obtained during the audit will not be disclosed by Enterprise Ireland to third parties.
This action is supported by the European Regional Development Fund.
