Incorporating a Company and Registering a Business Name

If you are a non-EEA* National who intends to come to Ireland in order to establish a business you will require the permission of the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform to do so (?Business Permission?).

This document is designed to serve as a guide to the registration of business name, changes in particulars of a business name and the cessation of a business name.

The Companies Registration Office have now introduced an electronic company incorporation scheme, CRODisk.

The procedure for obtaining a statement from the Revenue Commissioners, confirming that a company has a real and continuous link with one or more economic activities that are being carried on in the State, is outlined here.
